I worked for Family Dollar for 9 months, After 6 months of service I was to get 3 days vacation, I had requested May 11th 12th and 13th off but my District Manager said I couldnt have those days because another manager was on vacation and we were short of help, infact I had to send some of my people over to help out at that store including myself.
On may 23rd I had two employees get fired for breaking company rules, well on may 23rd my District Manager came into my store at 8.50pm after I had worked 13 hours and ask to talk to me, he said remember last week and I said yes (refering to the two that were fired), he said well corporate wasnt very happy and I said ok, he then said they called me today and said I had to come in and fire you I said ok and I left after sayibg how can I be fired for what some one else did, I had never been wrote uo or repremanded in any way,
Well I filed for my unemployment and I got it I had to report my vacation coming to me of 3 days because it was a benefit that I had coming to me, Well Family Dollar did not pay me my vacation they said I didnt give notice and I didnt leave the company in good standing well if I knew I was going to get fired I would of gave them a two week notice, can they keep something I worked for they had stipulations I had to be there 6 months and I was there over 6 months
