I was just hired for a reps position with owens corning basement division. First week of training and I felt like a true car salesman start high and then give these crazy discounts. The first discount is for a showcase and then the second is for production and then the third is go back to you boss and let him give you a better price. All this time making the customer uneasy and knowing their getting screwed. Then before you leave with your coat on try one more time to give him the lost sale deal. And this is what they teach you to do.
I have been a salesman for 30 years and this is the biggest rip off I have ever seen. And there big push is to get the sale in one call because the second call is from the company with a much better price then you can possible give as a salesman. Screwing the customer on an over priced product, and screwing the salesman who does the leg work. The product is nothing more then a pad of insulation covered by ploy. Give me a break. Glad I saw the light in training so I don't waist my time, quit in 4 days.
