I am from NSW AUSTRALIA and was approached by some lady from Phoenix home care pty ltd telling me they were expanding their business and that if I allowed them to come to my home and do a demonstration ie shampoo vacuum and cleaning a rug in my home for FREE and that aat the end of it I would receive a brand new car dust buster. Well I thought ok cool I made an appointment with them for that night at 7.30pm to come to my home and do the demonstration.
I was not aware that they were promoting kirby. Anyway that night half and hour after they were meant to show up I received a phone call letting me know that they had broken down on the highway so they made an appointment for the next night which I THOUGHT WAS OK but not good business for this company, punctuality is big in my eyes.
The next night I tried to get hold of them but all I got was an answering machine and half an hour later I received another call to confirm if the appointment was going ahead, I told the man on the phone that I tried to ring because I was going out at the arranged time and that I would not be going ahead with the demo. He told me he had a cancellation and that they could do the demo now in the next 5-10 minutes I said fine as I was told that the demo would only take 30 minutes which was ok with me.
They turned up the boss dropped off the demonstrator and took off. I told her I dont have much time as I was going out in an hour and a half and she said she would be finished by then. But over 2 hours later she was still going which annoyed me a little. All the way through she spoke to her boss a couple off times about a competition she was hoping to win as well as telling me its not my fault my kids are breathing in dirt because my vacuum is not doing its job. NOT HAPPY when they bring my kids in to it!!!
After the demonstration she asked if I was interested in buying one at $4000 Australian dollars, I said I would but not at this time as its so close to christmas and I have kids to buy presents for she said well ok how about we go $33 per week for 36 months which I later worked out to be over $5300 australian dollars.
This does not impress me at all to me they are all scammers. I didnt get the finance through thankfully and in the end it took them 2 days to come and get the kirby, not only that I did not get the dust buster but thankfully I did not put our family into debt over a cleaning machine that to me is not worth buying after all they are not solid gold are they.
My word of advice is do not ever buy from anyone selling door to door cos anly con men sell from door to door
