My experience is similar to Marcus of summerville, SC. The first time I called the 800-357-9213 on my credit card statement (Sep/07) I was told that the monthly recipe service was part of what I bought when I bought their cooker. They refused to refund the $13.90 charge until I sent back their recipes. They did say they would cancel any further charges. They did not refund.
On 11/2/07 I was again charged $13.90 and another packet of recipes was received 11/5/07 (from GTMEDIA, 5455 West Chester Rd, West Chester, OH 45069). Once more I called the number on my statement and after verifying the contact information they had for my email address, the Customer Service rep ("Marie") assured me that they would "credit" my account $13.90 and once more told me that I would be cancelled from their program.
The bogus part of this whole transaction is that you aren't advised that you are also signing up for ongoing recipe deliveries and will be charged for those.
Incidentally, while the cooker is very effective at cooking, it's of poor quality and the non-stick surface in particular does not hold up.
