GAI*Xpress is a company that sells on TV and the internet. My wife ordered some cooking/baking products ($103.60 delivered.) in April. Two months later 6/06/07 a charge shows up on our credit card for $13.90. I discover the charge on 6/11/07 and call to see what it's for; I'm told that the charge is for recipes for my cooking/baking products. I inform the phone person that we ordered no recipes, he says that a membership for periodic mailings of recipes was included with the products we purchased.
I told him that I didn't want this membership, and he agreed to cancel it; However I cannot get a refund until I return the recipes. So I wait for the recipes to be delivered (They were mailed on the day I called to complain).
When they arrived, I put a sticker on the package from GAI*Xpress that said "Delivery refused. Return to sender." About a week or ten days later I called to inquire about my refund and was told the package hadn't been returned to the warehouse yet, and that when it was the refund would be credited to my account.
On July 24th I again called GAI*Xpress to inquire about my refund and was told they had no record of the merchandise being returned and there would be no refund.
I have filed a disputed transaction with Visa.
I noticed their phone number is used in a variety of offers.
This type of Rip-off is all too common. I'm so burnt out on mail orders, when I see a product I'd like to have on TV, I'll just wait 'till it makes it into the stores.
