I was contacted by the success network on the 25 of Sep 2007 for a free 14 day trial in which I stupidly accepted. I recieved an e-mail that same day confirming the 14 day trial w / the following message
"Your credit card will not be charged during this free 14-day trial period. After the 14-day trial period, your subscription will automatically renew on a month-to-month basis for $39.95 (using the card you provided at checkout) until cancelled."
I then recieved another call unexpectadly on the 1 of Oct asking how I liked the service. I hadn't used it much and that is exactly what I told them. Somewhere along the conversions I somehow commited to a 1 year commitment w / them at a "discounted rate" of $400 none refundable. They caught me off guard and I didn't relieze it until it was to late.
Sure enough on the 9th I was charged $400... instead of $39.95 like I believed it to be. I quickly made a call only to find out somehow I signed up for a 1 year commitment and they couldn't refund the money. What kind of business ask you to pay for a full year w / no way of cancelling? After several transfers I finally spoke to someone that said they would send me the recorded phone call via e-mail. I have yet to recieve this said "recording".
