I'm a customer at a small independant book store in Wellsboro Pennsylvania. It's been years since our little hamlet has had a book store. They started small and wanted to expand, and they let some of their customers know they were looking to expand to better serve their needs.
One of the owners, even had the courtesy to let Kathy Doty, the property manager at Penn Oak know this, in case she knew of someone that might be interested. A week later, they were given an eviction notice.
Where was I going to buy my books? I don't have a car. Miles from a mall, and shipping for online is outrageous.
I've know other people that have delt with this Kathy Doty of Penn Oak and she's pretty unethical. But my experence of her is with the book store. Luckily the nice owners of the book store was able to work it out with the owner of the property.
He hadn't been happy with the property manager either. Seems she does shoddy work in her leases.
I only want to caution anyone dealing with Penn Oak and especially Kathy Doty. She has a repuation for this and I don't want to see any other fledling businesses or home owners finanically hurt.
