I received a call from Area Circulation telling me that I had won a three day, two night all expenses paid to one of 12 locations in the United States. The only thing I had to do was buy some magazines for $3.84 a week. They also told me that I would be put into a drawing for one million dollars, only if I were a Visa or Mastercard holder. Of course I was and they sounded very believable, but they were not.
I ended up giving them all the information needed, after I talked to three different people, who were all very nice and seemed very helpful. Later when I got home, I tried to check them out on the Internet because they said they had a website I could visit, but of course I wouldn't get that address until they sent me my package with all the information in it.
When I searched for them I could not find anything about them except for this website on complaint. Then I realized it was a scam and that I needed to do something about it.
I have called the company three different times to cancel magazines that are supposed to be sent to my home and I still am getting notices in the mail saying that I have to pay for magazines that I have not recieved.
