I recieved a call from a "Mrs. Lambert" about an outstanding bill on "superyellowpages.com" for $580.00.
This was the first I or my accounting appointment had ever heard of Idearc, and no checks from this company have ever been issued to Idearc or "Super Yellow Pages".
I contacted Idearc directly by the 800 number on the invoice, after stating my problem I was put on hold... For 17 minutes I waited with the phone on speaker, I called back and was on hold again for 8 minutes. I gave up.
So I sent back the invoice with a letter stating I would not consider paying without getting a copy of a signed agreement from an authorized officer of the company.
About a week later I get a fax showing a signed agreement from an employee dated 5 years ago! That not only is not authorized to make purchases, but was fired not long after she signed this agreement - she was in fact a disgrunteled employee.
I tried to call Idearc back again... And you guessed it I did not seem to be able to reach a human who could help me. So I sent back the agreement saying this employee is not authorized to make purchases, and we have never paid a single bill to them.
Finally I got a third call - again this Mrs. Lambert, who would not answer any questions, would not discuss anything but how to setup a payment plan.
Auuuugh!!!
