I drove (in a rental car) to LAX to pick up a passenger. I pulled over in the passenger pick up area for my passenger to load her bags in the car and get in the vehicle. I never once left the vehicle.
Months later, LA Parking Violations Bureau sends me a letter and claims they issued me a parking ticket that night, but I never received one and I never once left my car!!!
The ticket is $90 and I tried to appeal, but they said I have to provide proof that I was not issued the ticket. How does one do that? The only thing I have is my word against their false parking ticket!
What a scam. From an out of towner's perspective, I try my hardest never to fly into LAX ever again.
