Premium USA magazine subscription scam

On December 15, 2 young men knocked on my door at my apartment and were selling magazine subscriptions. I let them in and listened to their story. They were working for a company that promises them full college scholarships when they sell a certain number of magazine subscriptions. Being the nice person that I am, I agreed to purchase two magazine subscriptions from them. I paid half then, and sent the rest about 2 weeks later. I subscribed to Rolling Stone and Elle magazine. On my receipt, it said it could take up to 90 days to receive my magazines. Six months later, I still had not received any magazines. There was a phone number on my receipt. I attemted to call the company, but to my surprise, the recording at that number would only correspond through the mail. So I sent them a letter asking for my magazines.in this letter, I included copies of my receipts and my address and phone number. A couple of weeks later I received a response in the form of an apology and a gift of a 12 month subscription to a magazine of my choice. A couple of months later, I began receiving Rolling Stone.in January of I still had not received Elle, so I retained an attorney at Student Legal Services at the University of Florida. On January 10 my attorney sent a demand letter to Premium USA. The letter stated that they had 14 days to give me a full refund or we would file consumer fraud complaints. A couple of weeks later, I and my attorney received letters from Premium USA saying that they "have been trying to get the correct address for her orders so we can have her orders delivered to her. The address on the copy of her check is different from the address we have on record".
On March 11, Mr Adcock sent a final demand letter. His letter stated that Premium USA' s claim that they have been attmepting to obtain my address is false and that I have provided them with my address on numerous occasions. I filed complaints with the West Palm Beach BBB, and began the process of filing a claim with the Florida Attorney General. After the company received the BBB complaint, I was promptly sent a full refund from the company.
