2 young men came to our door at dinnertime. They were charming so we talked to them, they sold us magazine subscriptions in order to win a trip to somewhere, maybe Hawaii. They supposedly had others in a group in our neighborhood, so when they left they taped a tag to our door so no one else would try us.
It has been a year officially, and no magazines. We did received 2 copies of a men's magazine we never ordered. Then my husband, who's name was on the orders, was signed up for at least 2 services such as some shoppers reward thing that we didnt know about until he received many calls to rejoin for a fee.
He finally was able to stop the annoying calls, that were always while he was at work. I called the customer service number on the receipt and it is disconnected. We were told that it could be 4 months before we received any magazines so we just sort of forgot about it until the calls started. I cannot believe that I fell for this. It was in January, so we didnt have a ton of money. We handed them checks, because cash just would not do for some reason. Do not buy magazine subscriptions!!! Ever! Order from the magazine itself.
