I saw a commercial ad for the cashcall loans and I thought that I would take a loan out. My girlfriend wanted some new furniture and we needed to catch up on bills, so I took out a loan for $2600. It wasnt until after I had sent in all of my paper work that I found out that my interest rate was going to be 96%.
By then, it was too late to cancel, so we went through with the loan. I had paid out $216.55 a month for 20 months and I still owe about another 28 months of payments. All in all, I am expected to pay about $10,394.00 for a $ 2600 loan. That would mean that Cash call would receive $7794.4 in "interest".
No one ever told me what the terms of the loan was until after the money was deposited into my account and I never receive a monthly statement. The only time I receive anything from them is to remind me to pay my bill. There is no statement showing where my monthly payments are going and I cant afford to keep paying on this. I am getting married and I dont make enough money to cover all of my bills with this one bill. The people who work for cash call phone me about 10-25 times a day, asking for a payment and when I make arrangements, they still call the next day. They call my cell, home phone and work phones. They call other people looking for me and even after I have talked to one person, they still call an hour later. I can send them a payment and 20 minutes later, someone else is calling me to tell me that I am late or that I have to pay more fees. They used to take the money out of my account automatically, but i have since stopped that. They used to cost me lots of bank fees and charge me extra late charges even when I am not late.
I have changed addresses and they still call me. With my interest rate, I am paying them $ 208/month in interest and only about $9 is going towards the loan.
I am not going to pay them anymore and if anyone wants to file a lawsuit or anything against cash call, count me in.
