On June 3rd I received a call from CFB, Capital First Benefits. They asked me if I would like to receive a $5,000 credit card.
During this time I was trying to put my 13-month old son to bed and agreed then hung up the phone. I called them immediately back and said to cancel everything. Well, to my surprise they did not.
Thus far, I have been charged through PMS $54.90 two times, first time was 7/09/02 and second time was 8/06/02. I have been charged through HAC $99.00 on 8/05/02 (I stopped pymt on this, however, they changed their merchant ID and it cleared anyway).
Also, I have been charged $29.95 through Capital First Benefits. I have called this so-called company repeatedly and have either received busy signals or no help whatsoever.
I just hung up the phone with a "Betty" from PMS @ 1-800-276-3079 who said I would be receiving no refund. I am a newly divorced single mom and I can tell you that the $238.75 has cost me fees for overdrafts and has totally messed up my account.
I am now closing this account down and reopening a new bank account. This company needs to be stopped immediately!!!
