Eceived letter and official looking check to be cashed in amount of 2890.00 to claim further cash winnings of 200,000.00. Knew right away this was a scam. Note - nothing is free, especially money. Never registered for a lottery in any state. Never had anything to do with las vegas where drawing supposedly held. There is signature on check, illegible, but no printed name underneath.
Read this is definately a scam after doing a search online for first union lottery payments center. Contacted local fbi office and they confirmed this was a scam.
Too smart to actually get victmized by this but if someone stole my mail and proceeded with this check i could suffer later. I also feel sorry for people whom are not so smart, especially some elderly people who may not know any better.
