Uk bonds and creditors airmail letter announcing a lottery win united kingdom

My sister recieved a airmail letter from the Australian International Lottery Prize Release Center informing her that she had won a prize of $3,700, 000 dollars. I read through the whole letter and told her it was a scam.

She never purchased a ticket. Someone apparently purchased one in her name. Which, obstensibly. Was picked using a computer ballot system. A what? Don't you have to purchase a ticket to win?

She was to pay 5% of her winnings to the company (UK BONDS AND CREDITORS) that submitted her name. Why would anyone submit the name of a person they didn't know to the lottery? Are they crazy or do they dislike money so much they give it away? Or are they just trying to collect the 5% in advance of any payout When someone asks you to pay a fee to get your winnings-it's a scam.

When someone asks you to keep quiet about your winnings until the deal is done, guess who they are trying to protect. Every legitimate lottery announces to the world when someone wins. They want the publicity it brings.

I have a suggestion for these people. Let your prize patrol show up at my door (Like PCH) with a certified bank draft or cash, then talk to me about you 5% commission!
