When my loan was transferred to Aurora I was notified in a letter that my monthly payment was being increased by a substainal amount of dollars. I began to look over the statement sent to me line by line [a very frustrating process given the statement was about 5 pages with small font]. Aurora over estimated my taxes, I double checked with my local department of tax and assessment, in addition Aurora over estimated my insurance, I faxed them a copy of my insurance policy to prove it. I called them on both. They told me they would re-analze my loan. They contacted me two weeks later to notify me the my mortgage was dropping by $400 bucks.in the meantime, they applied the over payment for that month, since I had already paid my mortgage for the month, to my principal loan even though I had expressly asked them to refund the money. I have absolutely no faith in my mortgage company which is gravely scarey given the amount of the loan.
