Metropolitan Education Useful Way To Handle This Company That's Going After Military, take this to an attorney at a JAG office on whatever military base you are currently stationed at

If you are like me and are having problems with this company, "Metropolitan Education Enterprises", and you are Military.

Please do not hesitate to take this to an attorney at a JAG office on whatever military base you are currently stationed at.

What I have done so far is printed off all the other consumer complaintss that others have written about this company, I stated my case along with these printed consumer complaintss.
And right now I have my First Sergeant and a JAG Officer involved and is investigating this company right now..

But it would be wise to FIRST go to your higher-ups in your company; such as your company's First Sergeant or Company Commander. And get them involved along with JAG..

It helps to have the most people you can involved in your situation.

See. Like most of you and your reports that I've read,
I had someone suddenly show up at my door trying to tell me about these online college courses my husband could take while he's going to be deployed to Iraq.

By the way he was talking I thought he was someone from the Education Center that's on base.
My husband and I signed up thinking it sounded like a fairly good deal..
Being told that we had a year before we had to pay anything for the courses and we had the choice of paying it all at once or by monthly payments, (we chose monthly payments), we also were told we had 30 days to cancel and we would be getting the books that go along with the courses and a set (12) of free world encyclopedias and the website for each course would be on the inside of each course's book..

We tryed to cancel within 2 weeks after signing for these courses. Didn't happen, was told we had a week to cancel.

Ok, fine! We'll still take the courses then..
Well, We got the encyclopedias and eventually the course books.

But never a site to go on to start these "online courses".

We even looked online for Metropolitan Education Enterprises and nothing comes up. It's not like those other online college courses you could take (like: University of Pheonix & Colorado Technical University..) where you can type in their name and A LOT shows up.

And it wasn't only until about 3 or 4 months later they started harrassing for us to pay and not by monthly payments like I wanted to pay by; they wanted us to pay it in full or they would hit our credit with it. And it was a total of nearly $4,000. This is why we wanted monthly payments, it's way too much to pay at once, especially if you're a low enlisted rank in the military.

It seems like this company is only going for the military.

Which I think is a stupid thing to do, they are technically messing with the government.

So take my advice and talk to someone in your company, unit or squadron about this. Or if you want. Go straight to JAG.

Either way, if they're going after military, I say lets get the military involved!
