Champion Mortgage
Misleading, deceptive, Will turn their back on you at a vulnerable time in need. Ripoff

When I first financed my home with Chanpion, I accepted their cold call. Once everything got going the C.R. I think his name was Eric told me he was trying to get a 2 yr. A.R.M. (Adjustable Rate Mortage) I explained I merely wanted a fixed mortgage preferably a 30 yr. Term.

The C.R. Said that I would benefit greatly with a 2 yr. A.R.M. I would get a lower percentage rate and of course a lower monthly pmt. My first yr. A.R.M. Came about 3-4 months ago, needless to say my percentage rate rose from 8.5% to 10.9% and my monthly payment went from 944.00 to just over 1200.00 a month

I contacted Champion about this, my response was a customer service rep would be back intouch within 2-3 days. The phone never rang. The person I spoke with earlier told me that there would be noway of knowing what my A.R.M. Would be. I told them and Eric also doing my loan that they couldn't guarantee a lower percentage and lower payment.

I went to refinance and when Champion got wind of my wanting payoff, and was refinancing with another company I got a call. These people Christine Zuidema xt6527, Pamela Draughn xt 6307, Heather Rader all worked at different intervals tried to save a customer. Here is where deception comes in. As things progressed I was told by Christine I needed to have another appraisal. I explained I have been with the company for less than a year nothing has changed why should I get another appraisal when they have one already and all pertinant information?

I also explained I'm a 100% Disabled Vet and thus on a fixed income. I did tell Christine I have the amount of money needed for the appraisal, but it was saved up to pay my taxes. Deception again, she promised My wife whom by the way is also disabled, not to worry she guaranteed us not 100% but 200% that I make the appraisal and my taxes would be taken care of along with this months mortgage pmt. I took her for her word and paid for the appraisal and she told me with the close being only 7 days away, I need not make payment the loan will take care of everything. I felt need to make a payment for some unknown reason. Wish I had now!

I paid attention and followed as she said. Then I don't hear from Christine for several weeks, her dad had passed. Another week or so went by she not returning calls left on her voicemail. To put an ending to the story Christine Zuidema xt. 6527 has yet to contact me. It's now been 6-8 months now, my tax money gone and here I am on a fixed income had to scramble to make 2400.00 house pmt, one being late non pay and my regular monthly pmt along with late fees. This late payment on my credit report, numerous tax bills from the County.

I just called Champion Mortgage Customer Service this past week 1/17/07 about regaining my money I atleast paid out for the appraisal. I got the same ole' song and dance a Supervisor will be in contact, I haven't heard a word from Champion Mortgage. My next A.R.M. Will be coming up soon I wonder how far they will bury me in house payment this time. I still have no idea as to why they didn't refinance my house? I haven't tried any others I feel so beaten down, I don't have the strength to go through it again.

I just feel my own mortgage company whom I never missed nor had a late payment until dealing with Christine Zuidema has let me down. I really don't know why they wouldn't refinance me while the percentage rates were low again, being my other reason to refinance get rid of the A.R.M. And take advantage of the low interest rates.

This shows great appreciation toward the Disabled Veterans, muchless the disabled as a whole. I served my country and now I'm paying for it everyday of my life, but who actually gives a d—mn anyway. I can tell CHAMPION MORTGAGE doesn't, just make sure those house payments are here on time.
