My daughter-in-law received a phone call from Viking selling magazines. They recorded only that parts of the conversation, which fit their needs. Of course they left out where she said she wanted to pay by check
She admitted to ordering a few magazines. It turned out to be for 5 years and nearly $1000. She said they would pay them through the mail. They needed bank account number, which she gave them. They started to withdraw the money from their account. They caused him to overdraw the account and thats $60 each time.
They are now near bankruptcy. Company won't cancel order. They are receiving magazines. They still owe 400 dollars. Its there any recourse on this matter?
She admitted ordering the magazines but not $1000 worth. She is young and vulnerable. They noted the magazines per issue, which doesn't seem expensive at the time.
Any help will be appreciated.
