I was contacted by Cameron Walters at Supply Connection. She stated that our CFO (called him by name) had referred her to me since I do all of the supply orders for the company. She said that they were moving from Utah to Mississippi and they needed to sell off their inventory because they didn't want to ship everything. Because of this they were selling everything at a discounted price which would also be good for the next year. She said that she knew that we only had a limited amount of storage space so she would try to sell the items in as small amounts as possible.
Everything had to be sold in a gross though, nothing could come just with one or two boxes. Most items were not available in just 1 gross though, she could only offer 2 or 3 gross. I verified the pricing with her on everything. She said it was $1.49 for a box of 12 Sharpie's, $. 79 for a package of 12 post-it notes. So I placed the order.
A day later I knew something was wrong but I wasn't sure what it was. When I received the package instead of the 2 and 3 gross of everything she insisted was the smallest she could send there was 1 and sometimes 2 gross listed on the packing list. No prices though. So as I started to check in the products I noticed that for some items we received more than the 2 gross and for others we received less. I marked these down and tried to call them to find out what they wanted me to do and to verify the pricing. When I asked directly about the pricing she said that there must have been a misunderstanding, I said that the prices they were telling me now is not what I was quoted and that we did not want their products. They wouldn't even listen as I tried to tell them what I had received versus what they said that they sent. They just said to send it all back and they would send me the UPS labels.
I thought that I was done when I sent the packages back but no, they have now sent an invoice for all of the items that were not sent to me in the first place. Charging me $315.18 saying I saved $215.55. What a crock! There was no savings when they were charging $1.49 per Sharpie when I can order them for $. 59 each. I called to let them know that I was not going to pay for items that I did not receive but wouldn't you know it, they are not returning my calls.
I'm new to ordering supplies and new to this company and now I'm really frustrated that they would do this. I consider myself an intelligent person but am so mad that they would do something like this that could potentially get people fired from their jobs.
