I bought a Saturn LW2 in July. At the present time, my car has only 56,000 miles on it. I have had problem after problem with my car and have incurred about $5,000 of repair since I owned it. The latest problem started at the beginning of September. I sent my car to my local autobody as I will not take it to Saturn dealership close to me anymore (that is a whole other story). After the autobody replaced the throttle body, they found the car to not be repaired and believed that it needed computer work that has to be done at Saturn. As I will not deal with the Saturn service center near me, I had my car towed to the Saturn about 45 minutes from my home. There it has sat for over two months. They have replaced many key components of my car yet have not been able to fix it. They have had an engineer looking at my car for two weeks now and still cannot fix it. They are sending it back to me unrepaired.
I am completely fed up with this company. I would think that a Saturn engineer would be able to fix my car but guess not. I have had so many problems with this car and have been stranded with my two children numerous times. I have had to scramble to find transportation for three consecutive vacations as my car is in the shop.
Dealing with Saturn's customer service has also been a complete nightmare. I will not take my car back to Reading Saturn as they were incompetent and unfriendly. At Reading Saturn, they were unable to even cut keys for my car and charged me for $1000 repair that should have been covered under warranty. Seems to be the same at Limerick Saturn. I have not heard about my car for three weeks from the service manager. I have sporadic contact from the customer manager at the corporate Saturn office.
Another issue with my car at the moment is the fact that they will not return a part that was bought, paid for, and installed from my local auto body. Presently, I owe this autobody $700 as Saturn has not returned the part to them so they could seek reimbursement. Saturn is now saying that they can not return the part to me as it belongs to Saturn.
Needless to say, I will never, ever buy a Saturn again. A car with this low mileage should not have this many issues. Saturn products are horrible, their customer service is atrocious, and they do not stand behind their products. I would strongly dissuade anyone from purchasing a Saturn, I only wish I had that chance.
