Vector Marketing, cutco
Emplyee scams Ripoff

I found out about vector in the internet but i wasnt sure what it was. I put in an application thinking it couldnt hurt. They called me the next morning saying i needed to coame in for an interview but they only had openings that day. I had school as i am a college student but they insisted that this was only a one time opportuntity. Well not wanting to miss my shot at a company i knew noting about (lol) i decided to ditch school and go to the interview.

Upon arriving i met the managers and a couple other employees that all proclaimed they made so much money and it was such easy work. There was three of us there for the interview they took us back one by one to talk to us then asked us all to stay for the second half of the interview. He went over vector marketing stratagies and the sales pitch. He told us how we were not required to sell anything but simply make appointments and show up. The manager told us about the demo set we sould either have to purchase or borrow. When i asked about the borrowing option he said that i would simply give him a check and they would hang on to it in case i didnt return the set.

Upon the end of the interview he took us into his office one by one to talk to us again. This is where one lady just walked out. He told me that vector was a great company for college students and gave me some information about there scholarships. He said vector would be glad to have me and asked if i wished to become part of the team. Still pretty psyched about the whole idea of money just for appointments i said yes. He notified me of the training schedule and said he would see me on friday and to come in early since i would be missing the thursday training due to class.

On arrival on friday i waited a couple of minutes then was taken into the office and briefed over what i had missed the day before. When the class started i knew it was going to ba a long day. It was a 6 hour traning class.

This was the most boring thing i have ever done in my entire life. I learned about the problem with the knives 80% of america has what cutco has done to fix these problems. I learned about the quality of steel the different types of blades and handles. I was already begging someone to shoot me and this was only a half hour into the session.

They continued to drill and drill untill i thought my head was going to explode. We learned all about Henkels and the problems with there sort of knives and other competitors to vector.in the 5 hours i was in the training we recieved two ten minute breaks and did i mention this training WAS NOT PAID TRAINING???

Towards the end before i left they began talking about pay and how to buy our demo kits. Unlike what i had been told beforehand they told me that of course they had to cash the check they couldnt just let me take the knives without paying anything. This really ticked me off since i had previously asked them the same question and recieved a different answer. That is when i had had it and pretended to have an important p[hone call came in acted worried and said i needed to leave.

This was a huge waste of 6 hours of my time that i was not only not paid for but now i know more about knives then i ever wanted to.

Cutco is a great knife my family has used it for many years. The knife is great but i truly feel sorry for the employees.

Please don't fall into this trap!!! It is a big waste of time! They are full of lies and decite. Dont get suckered!!!
