V.A. Medical Center, - EEOC
V.A. Medical Center, Lake City Florida, EEOC I was placed to work a schedule after requesting exemption due to religious convictions

I requested to be off Friday sundown to Saturday sundown for religious observance. The schedule was made and I was told I would have to find someone to work for me during those times.

I used the chain of command to remedy my situation, such as the Union steward, EEOC, supervisors etc. I was then attacked verbally by two female coworkers who wrote two letters stating I was stageing this to get out of working weekend duty.

The EEOC investigation was dropped to what they say was lack of jurisdiction and the V.A. Attorney said I had no case due to the letters that were presented by my coworkers.

I was forced to resign because I could not find anyone to work the tours of duty and management would not help me in anyway for an accomodation. Not even to transfer to another dept.
