On 5-14-04 I rented the property located at Chandler, Arizona. Six months later I was told that the owner Brandi Strange was experiencing financial hardship and she was placing the property on the market for sale. Brandi Strange made an agreement for all of my security deposit to be refunded after I moved out. I have a letter from Mrs strange which supports my story.
I agreed to move out. Apartment hunters had a vacant property directly next door. I was able to move in right away. The problem is I paid $1050.00 for the security deposit. I was given $214.00 and no more I have contacted the broker Kurt Boxrud on numerous occassions via telephone and in writing and I have not recieved any more of the funds that are owed to me.
I was told that the deposit money was given to the owner Brandi Strange and that I had to make contact with her in order to get the remainder of my deposit. I did make contact with Mrs Strange only to get the run around from her and Apartment hunters.
I recieved a telephone call from Debbie Lastch on April 18. Debbie appeared angry and wasted no time accusing me of owing a $100.00 fine to the homeowners association. I had no knowledge of what was going on. Debbie explained that she had sent a letter to me at least four times and the letter had been returned to her. I asked her what the letter was about and she stated that my trash can was visible and that the homeowners association was enforcing a fine for me to pay? I explained to Debbie that ever since I had moved into the property the trash can had always sat on the side of the home just like the other neighbors.
I then explained to debbie that I only recieve mail through a po. Box and I had no knowledge of this matter or any letters that she sent out to me. I explained to her that I would not pay a fine for something that I had no clue about. I told Debbie that I would give my thirty day notice on the first of May since then I have resided at # S Kimberlee way.
The problem that I have now is Debbie decided to give my personal home telephone number to prospective tenants without my permission, Debbie is spreading vicious lies about me to prevent me from finding a new home whenever I apply to a property management for a home they refuse to rent to me.
