Worked for this company for about 6 months, seemed to start off on a good and positive level. Until an unknowledgeable foreman was hired, Ted Mathers, who knew absolutely nothing about construction skills or how to build period. He was our supervisor, who relayed back to the office at Design Blue whatever he saw on a daily basis, except Ted was only on site for about an hour a day.
Myself and my brother were working on this site in Santa Monica from the hours 9-4:30 or 10-6, and put in excessive amounts of work time and driving with hauling all the supplies needed to frame and finish this home. Always degrading and harshly judgemental, when everything was smooth from the start. Have the home owners word on that, and besides, the work was rolling on time and we were ahead of schedule.
The comments came from this Ted guy who had no respect for us, we still don't know why. We even have money owed to us, and they are trying to sue us and say we owe them. Well, we left the job before it was completed, but had no written contract with them or no signed documents stating we had to finish. We were paid on basis of quotes and invoices, which had to be turned in and work finished if we were to be paid, no matter how long it would take. We were ripped on material costs, gas cost, labor wage and discrimination.
I want these people to know they are at fault, several of the past homes they have contracted are slowly diminishing, customers are unsatisfied, we have knowledge of this. Mostly, it is the word of the supervisor who had a problem with us and delayed our pay and would inspect without knowing what he was even looking at, a complete nightmare and joke. One comment made in the start of this job by Daniel — to my brother in a phone conversation, where Daniel said he felt like he was dealing with a drug addict, because we asked for a check on friday, 15 days prior to our last check. The checks that we were paid had to be split between my brother Mike and I, with gas and all lifes expenses, house and cars, and all the materials for the job, and they abused it and cut us short and over expected and demanded. People like this are a terror in the business world, the mask themselves like they are perfect and the rest are scum.
I am a hard working individual who has a family and pays all his taxes and bills on time, respects America and has too deal with this, WHY. I want something or some action taken in a near future time. They say they are taking legal action towards us for giving us a check that the work for it never was done, when in fact they owe us for running to extra jobs, paid nothing, no time or anything, no thanks... And this happened on repeated occasions. They owed us for other projects and I have the Quotes and photos to prove the work is finished. If anyone is interested, please respond soon.
