I saw an ad for this product on TV. I went to the website to get the product as advertised 2/$10 plus 3 replacement heads for $3.95. Plus S&H of $7.95 for each mop.
The order would not go through. I did not get a confirmation page on the website nor did I get a confirmation e-mail. I assumed the order failed.
Next day, I get a charge on my VISA for $115.46 from Sweep N Mop! I called customer service. They said the order had already been processed and could not be cancelled. They said I would have to wait to get the merchandise (up to 4 weeks' delivery time!) send it back to them, wait for them to get it and then process a refund.
So even though it was their website that had technical difficulties I have to wait 4-8 weeks for a refund. Merchandise that was supposed to cost $29.85 is costing me $115.46 plus whatever it will cost me to send it back to them plus waiting time! Ripoff, indeed!
I should have called the toll free # on TV. Maybe this wouldn't have happened. But after dealing with two "customer service representatives" from Sweep n Mop, I wouldn't bet on it. They don't deviate from their script of "it's already shipped, we can't cancel the order" and "return the merchandise and we will refund your money"
