This so-called company has been using our home telephone number on their rip-off websites for over 2 years.in April I called godaddy.com to report the error as that is who Bullseys media used to host their domains. I even spoke to someone in "security" and reiterated my complaint. They told me it was clearly a scam and that they would make sure it was taken care of. (My husband has had this telephone number since 1984!)
Today I still receive thousands of calls from people - mostly poor souls that have fallen for the FREE stuff enticement. On each call, I would tell them that Bullseye has been using our phone number and apologise.
Last fall I contacted the USPS Office in Millersburg, PA. (Note: this small town is in my area code.) They told me they could provide no info, no surprise there, and that I should call the Millersburg Police Department. I called the MP Dep. And spoke to Patrolman Ulsh. Again, I explained my case, he told me he would check into it and that is the last I have ever heard of it!
In about June an Attorney from Atlanta phoned to me to explain he was handling a lawsuit against Bullseye Media and wanted to include me. I was a bit apprehensive and just took his phone number at that time. I've since lost that number, unfortunately.
In the past two years I have discovered that 1. Bullseye Media *is* a registered PA Corporation, 2. They have had more dot coms than you can count (freedesignerbags.com, freelaptops4you.com, etc etc) 3. They are slick and understand how to stay one step ahead of the consumer, 4. Their telephone number SHOULD be 1-800- and my number NOT the one they are using, 5. Emailing them is futile - I've tried to do so numerous times, 6. Mailing them is futile, too - no one ever responds, 7. So many people have been defrauded by these snakes and I am tired of the thousands of calls I get from them!
I've had to use call intercept for my phone calls at my residence so that I can screen calls. It's really miserable to be awakened at 3 AM by an irate consumer looking for his free plasma TV or gift-du-jour!
Today I have finally contacted the local police and they will start the process. I sincerely hope I can reclaim my phone number and nights of peaceful sleep and I hope the people who have been scammed can seek some resatitution.
Only in America, eh?
