In 1995 i started working with anthony d pablo as a receptionist at his office at 299 landis avenue suite 201 chula vista ca 91911. As an employee i only answered the phone set up appointments filing, set up the room for business reps.
Anthony is one of the 40th founders of wma securities. As he offered this securities products to people to invest.
On september 10,1997 my father died my mother and i got 60,000.00 thousand dollars for his death benefit.
When tony found out that i got a life insurance benefit. He ask me how much i got and i told hi $60 thousand dollars.
He told me to invest the 60 thousand i said no and then he kept pesisting telling me how much ill get back of money that is the best for me and my mother and family because he said that 60 thousand is not alot of money that we will spend it fast and then we later wont have none of it and he said at least invest part of it and later receive more and you can later buy something like a home open a business.
So he made me see things that i beleive and he told me tha best way is to buy stock from wma securities. I dont know nothing about stocks i have heard that stocks go up and down so its a risk. And he said no not thwe one with wma because they are private.
And i said what is the difference. He said that when they are private you can put the money in but not take it out until it goes public.
So since no one can take it out it doesnt go down. And when it goes public he said since other people buy stocks since you are puting the money in the beggining and them until is public the stock cost more and you make more money.
And i ask him when will it go public if i were to invest. He said in 3 years.
I said i have to think about it he kept persisting on it. He told me is the best for my family and he knows what right for me and that since i been working with him he recomends the best for me because he cares. And wants me to better myself and that we have known each other for a while and he looks at me like a daughter.
And since your father is gone you can count on me for anything like a father. So i believed him.
I gave him 30 thousand dollars on january 1998, cashier check from bank of america. I gave him the money me and my mother. And then he said he is going to send it out that each stock right now is worth 15 dollars so i got 2000 stocks. And he said that he send it out and that wma will send him a certificate of proof of purchase of the stocks. So i said ok.
And then later i ask him did you get the certificates. He said not yet he will let me know as soon as they come in. Later i ask him again and he showd me the certificates. And i felt better. But he told me ill take care of them will keep them here in the office because there safer because if you take them home your kids could get them loose them and there safer here in the office i didnt think wrong of that because i though well yes is true plus im always at the office and im not planning to quit this job.
Because he always was nice to me. Especialy since my son has vonwillowbrands deseise is likle hemophilia and alot of the time i had to leave from the office to go to the hospital to stay with my son.
He never gave me a hard time on that because there was times i would miss alot of work and he would tell me its ok your kids are first. And imm a single parent. And any other job im pretty sure i would of gotten fired. But time passed by and he had a problem personell. His wife left him and he was so upset that his additude totally change.
He would throw things at the office he was a very aggresive man with me to the point he said he will hit me he scared me. He apologised and said he wouldnt do that again that is just that he is going through something that is hard his wife name was lorraine santana.
But again he acted that way. I left my job he kept apologising and told me again he wont act that way to come back to the office but i didnt because i said if you acted this way with me twicw you will do this again.
He said if you dont come back im closing my office down because i cant do it alone i need you please help me perla he said. It was hard for me but i said ok but i didnt went back to the office. Later i told hiom when he was more calmer that i want my certificates and he said he will take care of them.
Because they are safer with him that any ways i know were he lives everything about him. And i said i want the certificate he said he couldnt give them to me because he is the only one that could take that money out and i said wy he said because he is the one that is licensed and the agent of wma. Asnd im not.
I requested then a copy and he said he cant do that because is ilegal to do copies on stock certificates. Than i said then what im i supposed to have. I want something and he wouldnt give me anything. So didnt know what to do he said as soon it goes public ill let you know.
You know were to find me well i did. But know i dont know were he is he it been more than 3 years he said they didnt go public because of the war of sept and know his phone numbers have been disconnected he is no longer living were i knew he lived and that was his own home. His address was 1942 versailles rd chula vista ca 91913.
He before would also call me and he hasnt in the last 3 months. The last time i argued with him because of the money. And today i came to see the internet to see if i can get some information on this company stocks and i see this news. And im scared because my father died and this is his death money he left of and this person or company took this from me and my mother and sister and brother and my kids and were poor trying here to survive with the little bit we have as a single parent and my mother a widow and aour money that its gone i dont know what to do.
