Scottrade surely doesn't live up to its JD power ranking. A few years back I opened an account with them with some stocks my grandfather left with me after he passed. I signed the documents over to them and was told the value of the stocks was 10k. So I started trading with this money, and within a few weeks I get a call from the manager at my branch telling me that the stocks value split and was only worth 300.00 dollars and not 10k. Well I am sorry but I take my auto to the dealership for work and not to a plumber! So I expected when I took my stocks to this place of business I was getting professional advice, So when they told me it was my fault that the stocks where mis-diagnosed, I was deeply saddened by their lack of commitment and professional towards the individual. I will take my business elsewhere.
