Ripoff, misrepresent, Ramada Plaza Resorts omits the majority of the fees and requirements for vacation packages

I too was a victim of Ramada Plaza Resorts marketing scam. They called me an offered a vacation package including 2 days in Orlando 3 days in Fort Lauderdale and a two day three night cruise to the Bahamas abord either Carnival Cruise lines or Imperial Magesty. This also included a rental car or two two-day tickets to Universal Studios.

The catch is that you must sign up over the phone, and it is said to be a one time take it or leave it offer. I typically am very keen on this kind of scheme, but my wedding was rapidly approaching, and we had yet to book a honeymoon. At 395.00 this sounded great, and to seal the deal they made a one time offer of 4 nights 3 days in Las Vegas as well as 5 nights 4 days in Puerto Varta, Mexico. I bit the hook.

My experience was a mirror image of what the other writers described. The hotels were all dirty and nonfunctional. The staff was rude and unaccomodating, the tour managers were abrasive and nasty, the cruise was Imperial Magesty it was dirty and small and lasted half the time it should, the cruise packages were a rip off, there were required tours I was never told about via phone (which by the way when I received this info I called to cancel, and I was told it was non-refundable and the decision was required immediately), the rental car company refused to let us use our own insurance and billed us $120. Plus gas (at a much higher rate then anywhere in the free - world much less Florida), and everyone blamed everyone else at each step of the way.

In addition to this when I tried to claim my free trips the phone numbers I was originally given were no longer functioning. So yet again I was ripped off.

Ramada Plaza Crusie lines uses the "switch and bait" technique, and I now know it is illegal. The general public hears Ramada and correlates it with the Ramada hotel. RPR misrepresentation and illegal action comes under using the Carnival Cruise Lines name. I plan to see just how many Carnival Cruises they've given out. Would you like to guess?!
