Back in 1999, I co-signed on a car with the girlfriend at the time. We broke up in 2001 and I went overseas with the military. I was contacted by Americredit who told me the car payment had not been paid and they were going to repo it. I told them to go ahead as I lived in Italy and could not make contact with the person who had it. The guy I talked to told me as long as I helped him locate the girl or the car, they would not come after me for the money. I agreed, and helped. I haven't heard anything from them until today, 3/10. More than 4 years later. I will be happy to join any class action suit and sue the hell out of them. How can a company tell you something one day and 4 or 5 years later demand something different? I leave for Iraq in 2 weeks. Maybe something will be resolved before I get back.
