I received a phone call on Sunday, February 12th from a foreign gentleman claiming that the government gave their company my name to give me a $12,000 grant because I pay my taxes every year. I immediately recognized this as being very unlikely and listened to everything he had to say in order to catch any contradictions.
The second he said free except for S&H of $59.95 bank to bank transfer, I instantly told him I don't do that because I don't give out my personal bank information to anyone, especially when they have called me.
He continued to try to convince me that this was my money to receive, but I was polite and continued to refuse saying that if I was to receive a grant it would take a lot more than just a phone call.
I told him one last time that I am not interested in giving out my information at any cost and thank you anyways. Please don't call me again. We will see if it happens.
If I may reiterate a very very very important FACT...
NEVER GIVE ANYONE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION, EVER!!!
I don't give it to anyone except my bank and my credit card people.
