I got a phone call today from a lady with a strong accent claiming to work for a company called FIRST NATIONAL GOVERNMENT GRANT BENIFITS. She asked me a few questions then toen told me I was approved for a government grant of $12,500 which I would not have to pay back. She also informed me that she would be sending me a package to look over containing information on a national medical plan and there was no obligation to join it. Just for looking it over I would recieve a check for $100 that she was calling "emergency cash".
All I would have to do was give her my bank information so that they could charge me a one time fee of $29.95. This was to pay for the service of giving me the information on how to recieve my $12,500 grant money.
While she was giving her speech I got on the internet and Googled the company name. I found MULTIPLE reports about this company being a SCAM.
While on the phone with her I told her what I found about the scams her company had done or attempted to do to people. I even read her a couple of reports from the Rip Off web site. She wanted me to read more to her claiming first how could I believe just one or two people. I told her there were plenty more and she wanted the web address so she could read them for herself claiming she does not want to work for a scam company.
PLEASE BE AWARE and DON'T give out any bank/credit card information.
