Well, here we go. Another one to add to this guys growing reputation in San Jose, CA.
While walking out from Fry's Electronic with my kid to my car, a guy in a new looking Nissian SUV drove up to me and introduce himself that he is from Italy. And he is here for an exhibition at the San Jose Convention Center. The Convention Center is near by to where I am at (believable). Shows me his business card. The guy have a heavy Itialy accent. He say that he needs to give away some jackets because he have to leave at 5:00 pm PST. I was at my car around 2:00 pm PST. He stated if he take these with him, he'll be taxed. He have 4 jackets. He showed me 3 jackets and said free. The 4th one he showed me and stated it cost thousands in US. He light a lighter to demonstrate that it does not burn. Jacket did not burn. He said he'll take just $600 dollars for it, and the other 3 free. At that time, I told him let me consult with my wife first. I usually consult with my wife before I spend anything over $200 dollars. Don't know why I did not do this one. Must be simpathy for this guy. Any how, he said why call wife, suprise her. I figure I'll suprise her. Oh boy!!! Suprise... It was me who got the suprise. I felt awful when I found out I got scam.
I told my mother in-law the story. She told me I got scammed. That how I found out, I got scammed.in shocked and disbelieve. It happened to some of her co-workers, that's how she know. It happens to my wife before I meet her also. Man, just hope it does not happens to whoever read this. A $600 dollar lesson learned. I guess I can give those jackets to charity. I have no need for leather jackets.
