I recently Noticed a charge to my credit card for 79.95 from CIC credit monitoring. I called the company to challenge the charge. I spoke to a female who would not give up her name. She then asked me for my credit card number to verify the charge. Obviously I didn't give the card number. I told her that I didn't want to give my card number, because they already charged my card. I told her I would give her my name. She actually told me that she could not use my name or any other information other than my credit card number to verify any charges. Sounds extrememly fishy. I have filed a complaint with my bank and will let them investigate.
