I received a letter stating that Merchants Credit Guide Co. Had purchased a debt from CFB Financial under my name in the amount of $1,909.77. When calling the number they told me it was a credit card account opened in 1994. Twelve years ago! I never opened this account and never has it appeared on my credit report.
I only receivied this letter two days ago and started researching every company in the letter. More to report as it unfolds.
