We've lived in this apartment complex for five years and it was a nice place to live until Kathy Garwood took over as property manager around March. She is utterly incapable of doing her job and the residents here are the ones who suffer because of it. The way that she has handled situations around here has outraged the residents, many of whom have their own horror stories; ours is just one of many I am sure:
Our apartment flooded due to the negligence of maintenance staff, destroying the unit along with irreplaceable personal property. We were devastated by this event but the nightmare had only begun. Kathy Garwood's response was anything BUT to help us in any way.instead, she demanded that we move our belongings into another unit, then she ignored our requests for a new lease for that unit, leaving us in limbo not knowing what to do as far as paying rent, then she had us evicted for not paying rent on the unit which had been destroyed! She even came to court to watch us get screwed by her lowlife lawyer and the equally corrupt ex-cop turned judge.
This is only my story, the other residents here have plenty more. For example, my neighbor, who is handicapped and confined to a wheelchair, had to drag himself down the concrete stairwell one morning in order to get himself out of the building so he could get to work on time because Kathy Garwood would not have maintenance turn the one working elevator back on.
She will never apologize for any of the sick things she does or the hideous mistakes she makes - she won't even look you in the eye! She covers up her destructive errors in judgment with bold faced lies and probably has paid off government officials to cover up some of her most serious treachery. She is an evil, nasty, ugly woman who will stab you in the back when you're already on the ground. If you rent here while this witch is in charge you will regret it!!!
