H & R Custom Homes stole our good faith deposit even though they promised in writing that they would not deposit it. They also promised to return it if they did not proceed ahead and build a house for us. Rami Nimeh owns H & R Custom Homes and was not able to come up with references for a stick built home.in fact, Rami could not come up with any good references. The contract proposed by Rami Nimeh and Rich Berry who works in the office for Rami was drawn up and instead of taking the good faith deposit off; they added an extra few thousand dollars to get more money. Then they promised a kitchen and bath allowance at our various meetings; and in the proposed contract; reduced the allowance by thousands. We paid for a floor plan ourselves which was more money lost. Rami now wants to charge for his work on the floor plan which amounted to two or three sticky notes which we gave him and he pasted on the floor plan.
After many days of trying to get references and after the ripoff contract that they gave us; we decided not to go with H & R Custom Homes. We lost our deposit and have tried repeatedly to get it back to no avail. It now appears Rami Nimeh has changed his name to K & N; probably to escape all of the angry customers that he ripped off. Rami should be on the blacklist as a builder to definitely not use. He is dishonest and is a builder of modular homes who passes himself off to be a stick builder. Be aware and do not give H & R Custom Homes or K & N Custom Homes or Rami Nimeh any business.
You will not get a house but will get a lot of heartache and will go broke and not get your house. We have contacted our attorney and other agencies in an effort to stop Rami from doing this to someone else and to get our deposit back. Please feel free to contact us as we are seeking to file a law suit against Rami Nimeh and H & R Custom Homes. Rami was working with Barden Homes who also dropped him. Be aware Ram has changed the name of his company to K & N Custom Homes now, but don't be fooled; it is still Rami and he thinks he can hide from all of the people he has ripped off.
