I signed up to join Recipe Rewards.com. Apparently there was one place, which I did not see, where they say I agreed to take Nationwide Voice Mail. Now, I have an answering machine and do NOT need this service.
We got our phone bill today and there was a charge for $17.50 on it for NVM. We called phone company, who says there's nothing they can do about it. They referred us to the Nationwide Voice Mail. The company says they will stop our account but the charges will continue to appear on our Sprint bill for several months! This will look bad on our credit and make it look like we're not paying part of our bill. This is a ripoff, and we've been CRAMMED.
DO NOT sign up with Recipe Rewards! Also, the dude at Nationwide VoiceMail knew our address, my mother's maiden name, our telephone number... Who knows what else they got from the Recipe Rewards site! I tried to go to the Recipe Rewards site to contact them, but was immediately led to the pages where you have to sign in and tell them "yes" or "no" to all the garbage they want you to take. I got off the site right away because I don't trust them and don't want this to happen again.
