The current was turned off because I forgot the bill. As soon as I knew I paid. My daughter-in-law could not wait and tampered with the meter thus turning it on. The next day the worker returned to turn it on and was upset that the meter was tampered with again. He turned it off and locked it. She told him the bill was paid. She then did it again. Later the same day they cam and removed the meter. Someone reported the meter box damaged. It was not damaged at that time as my son came to my house to get our generator. While my son was away a worker cam to the house and hammered the meter box. I understand that the meter box itself is privated property. The worker stated that it belongs to the electric company. Now, I have paid $ My daughter-in-law was very verbally abusive to the workers when they cam out. The worker who came to hammer the box did not record a call to the company. I feel that he was angry at my daughter-in-law for her nasty words to the workers. It cost me $585 to have the box replaced. Another $30 for the box itself and $255 for the tampering fines.
