I purchased software to scan my computer and remove harmful viruses and spyware. When I went to pay for it, a window came up for technical help which I thought was a good idea. I checked the box and made my purchase. Later, I found that Softwarepros.com charged my account $77.88 without telling me there would be a charge. I contacted the software company (whom I wish to keep private as they were just as victimized), and they proved to me that they have no partnership with Softwarepros.com, and that they have a reputation as a scam operation and a civil suit is in process against them. Buyer beware! If you're prompted for tech support on a software purchase, DON'T check it!
