My wife interviewd for a job at Macys. It took HOURS to fill out the pathetic app on line. 12 pages for a minimum wage job??? Really??? Then she was called in and waited 45 minutes while 3 other people passed her up. ONE was hired on the spot and it took her over a half hour to fill out the hiring form because she could not spell to save her life! My wife finally gets called and her interview is delayed because nobody now can interview because they're either out to lunch or in a meeting. Finally a woman comes in and she's reading off a piece of paper generic questions to ask her while she twirls her hair. The woman's cell phone rang on an on and she doesn't answer or even shut it off which would have been proper ettiquette. It was a part time position and she starts harrassing my wife because she can't work Monday or tuesday (but is availabe Wed all the way to Sunday)."Well you have to be flexable!" she says. My wife says nicely "well, what about college students who can't work on a certain day (classes, etc...) do you say the same to them? If it's part time and you're available 70% of the week, what seems to be the problem? The interview ends in less than 5 minutes!!! My wife wanted to see a manager. How convenient NONE were available! This was CLEARLY an awful UNPROFESSIONAL and CLEAR case of reverse discrimination that should result is a law suit. The Key Stone cops could have done a better job (PUN INTENDED!) We're spreading the word. DON'T interview at Macys and while you're at it Boycott them and shop at Sears, JC Penny, even EBAY! Hell can not be so terrible. What a depraved enviorment. All I can say is karma.
