I was called today by someone who wanted to speak with the responsible at my company to attend one event in Germany in December. As my colleague is away on sick leave I tried to help. They were quite insistent saying it was urgent that I booked the rooms for the conference because there were only 4 rooms left. They asked me for my e-mail and sent me a link for a submission form. I refused to fill it in as I said that I needed to figure out who was going to attend the event first. They kept on trying to convince me to fill in the form and I said I couldn't, so they told me they would call in 2 hours. I found it strange that the form did not even mention the rates of the hotel, so I called up the real event organizers, who told me they were not working with an agency. That was when I realized it was a scam, and I asked the organizers to inform the other exhibitors. Then half an hour later they called me again trying to convince me to fill in the form and I told them that I knew it as a fraud and I hang up on them. Fortunately they did not get any money from me but they were close, they are professionals on trying to convince people. Be very careful
