I had been on line trying to get a payday loan and I rec'd a call from a man named Michael, the phone number he called from was (209) 789-5800. He said he was from Green Tree Cash Advance in California and he understood was looking to get a cash advance in the amt of $2500. I thought it was legit because that was the amt I was looking to get. He told me to purchase a green dot money pack in the amt of $225.00 which I did and then he put me through to a woman named Angel who then told me I had to purchase another money pack card in the amt of $250.00 to pay for the taxes, which I also did. Then she transfered to a man named Martin who was suppost to be the loan officer who would finalize my loan and he told me one last step to complete before the deposit was made was to purchase another green dot money pack card in the amt of $280.00 to pay for the loan costs fees. I did this also because I figured now my loan would be deposited. He said it would be in my bank acct within 15 mins. I went immediately to my bank, I was there approximatly 1 hour but no deposit was ever made. I called the Green Tree people back and they transfered me to another man who's name was Anthony and he tried telling me that I was going to have to get another card for $350.00 for I dont know what and I told them NO! I had already spent a total of $769.85 and still no results. These people and this business are scam artists and they took all the cash I had to my name. Now I didnt know how I was going to support my family for the rest of the month. I then learned about Scam Book and realized that people had been scamed by this company already. I wish I would of known about this website before then maybe I would not of lost what money I did have. Now I am trying to get back the money Green Tree Cash Advance stole from me. Please do not do any business with these people because they will rip you off also. I want my money back and i want these people put in jail so no one else has this happen to them!
