I emailed Amazon about a minor problem with my Kindle which I had bought at the beginning of the year. Within hours I had a reply inviting me to chat with a consultant online. After a few questions Priscilla informed me that they were sending me a new Kindle. She them emailed me a link to print a pre-paid label to return my faulty unit.
When I emailed them back to point out that we don't have UPS in Johannesburg I got an immediate response telling me to use any courier company with insurance and online tracking, and they will reimburse me.
That's what I call service - nearly as good as dealing with Johannesburg municipality.
