I placed a $6575 furniture order with Clyde Padgett at Furniture Geek on 6/21. I called to check on the status last week. I found out they filed bankruptcy on July 12 and it appears they all skipped town. I was scammed. I contacted the lawyer handling the bankruptcy case and he said, file a case with your credit card company to get your money back. So very sad. I trusted them. I'm so upset. I've never been taken advantage like this before. The company was in business since 1970. I contacted the BBB of SC but they have been unable to find out anything so they say. A local Florence news station reported on the story after several complaints to the BBB. The news crew went out to Florence to find the company "disappeared overnight."
