Don't let anyone tell you the warranty means ANYTHING!
We had Pella windows installed in our home in 2007. The casement windows have a plastic clip that holds the rope that gives the window spring. When I pulled the window in to clean, the two plastic clips on either side pulled completely out of the window, breaking the wood around where the clip was screwed in. Pella Corporate sent a new window, however, the window was unfinished when it was sent.
Customer Service diverted me to the Grand Rapids Office which is the one that had finished the windows before being installed.interestingly enough, they no longer do any finishing and couldn't even tell me what color was on my window frames! They completely disavow any responsibility for the new window since they say the finish is only guaranteed 1 YEAR! Get that — a finish for 1 YEAR! They NO LONGER do any finishing work, so I am left to do everything myself!
This is the last time I EVER use Pella for anything!!!
