Ms. Lexi Green called today (saying she works for www.usagovermentgrants.org) informing me that I have been approved for a $10,000 grant to be used for any purpose (except for any illegal purposes). I was told that I need to pay a one-time wire transfer fee of $180 for the Federal Reserve Bank & state. After this fee is submitted, the $10,000 would be wire transferred into my personal checking account within 20-30 minutes. I called the Federal Reserve Bank Board of Governors in Washington, DC wherein I was informed that this is a scam. I am in a place, personally, after losing everything through Super Storm Sandy that I am now destitute and needing funds very badly to restart my life. How can I apply for grant money to legitimately receive funds for such a purpose? I truly am in desperate need. Thank you in advance with regard to the alleged scam.
