Keranique, Inc
Consumer Report

I called Keranique on 03/06 after seeing a commercial on TV re: their product for thinning hair advertising a FREE SAMPLE for $7.95. I offered my credit card to them. The agent then said I would be billed for two payments of 79.95 in the next two months. I refused to give permission for those charges without first trying and approving of the product. (Silly me, I thought I would receive 2 more shipments of the product for those payments) I ended up telling him I would not approve of the entire deal and to cancel it. Within the next 3 hours, I re'd several calls from the company (not always the same agent) begging me to accept the product. The calls ended the same way with my ADAMENTLY REFUSING the additional charges on my credit card and telling them to forget about the entire transaction. The FREE SAMPLE arrived anyway. Since I was leaving on a two week vacation, I didn't open the box right away. When I returned and found the statement inside I called them and told them I didn't authorize the future payments and that I would return the samples which had not been opened. The agent told me I was "too late." The April charge of $79.95 was already posted on my credit card. I still owe the 2nd $79.95 because Bank of America held the payment while I disputed it. They just notified me that they weren't going to deny payment to the business. They had set up a time schedule without my permission, sent the product even though I told them repeatedly that I didn't want it and that they could not charge my card for future product (which was not going to be sent). I am left with a debt of $167.85 for a product
that was called a FREESAMPLE. Where are my rights of refusal?
